Find out what type of graphics card your system has:
Right-click on "My Computer" and hit "Properties" OR
Open "System" from the "Control Panel" OR
hold down your "Win" key and press the "Pause|Break" key.
This will open the "System Properties" box.
Click the "Hardware" tab, then click the "Device Manager" button.
Click the "+" sign next to "Display adapters"
-look what it says, for example, see the attached pic.
eg, mine is an Nvidia GeForce 6200
Now, search Google for "[your manufacturer] homepage" or, if it's
ATI:
http://ati.amd.com/Nvidia:
http://www.nvidia.com/Once you've found your graphics card's manufacturer page, look for a link to downloading drivers, usually under either "Drivers" or "Support" or, if it's
ATI:
http://www.ati.com/support/driver.htmlNvidia:
http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.aspSpecify your model when looking for the drivers and get the latest edition.
This might help your problem. -I hope it does, anyways

PS Oh, right... before I forget. With Nvidia drivers, you must uninstall your old drivers first. Right-click on your card from the "Device Manager" and select "Uninstall". See second picture.
