A this time it was still the original NCC-1701
It was until Kirk blew it up in ST3.

Another thing Kirks got going for him - he's not so bone idle as to place his ship before everything else. Picard was up for that kind of stupidity.

I like the decontamination scenes  .
It's nice when they resort to sexual suggestion to keep people interested. It keeps things..err...interesting.

My favourite SF TV Shows:

1. Enterprise (even though I've only seen the premier - I'm in Australia)
2. StarGate SG-1 (has been number one since it started, before Enterprise came around)
3. ST: Voyager
4. ST: TNG
5. Farscape
6. ST: DS9 (only includes season 6, 7)

One of my favourite shows is the british production called Hornblower. It's about a young man called Herachio (I can't spell that) Hornblower in the eighteenth century. You see as the young man flies up the ranks (similar to a likable Wesly Crusher) onboard the the frigate Indefatigable (which means not-fatigue-able). The producers and writers did an excellent job with the characters and the stories and I was always impressed.
This has nothing to do with Science Fiction, this is history you say? Well, the reason why I mentioned this is that it always reminds me of Star Trek, with the way the characters are portrayed working as a team, etc and sorta exploring the unknown. To me, Hornblower seems more SF than history.

They only made about 10-20 episodes, but has anyone seen this? (To Setekh - it was on the ABC at prime-time last year.)

well, seeing that scie fie series shown in france for the last 10 years can be counted on tyhe fingers of one hand, there, for me:

1) Space Above and Beyond
2) SG1 ( the few episodes I'hve seen were half cool, and half boring ( "sliders" syndrom, I hate that)
3) Red Dwarf ( Mwahahahahaha)
SCREW CANON!

That leaves us, pretty much, with Stargate (memorable only for the full frontal nudity in the first episode and the incredibly bad writing that followed it) and Farscape (a series where the writers care about the story, the actors care about their characters and fight the writers when they screw up, fun villains, vile villains and even fun, vile villains). I'll take Farscape over any of the other crap out there right now.

Besides, Farscape had the best babes: Zhaan, Chiana, and Aeryn. Jool needs to be introduced to the inkyblack with extreme prejudice, tho.
Then there's John and D'argo: the best written male duo ever in space shows.
The writing always includes some humor to temper the drama. They always include a bit of the epic, balanced with the personal. You can't beat that sort of writing.

True-est thing anybody ever said. One series my arse... still, at least I can afford the whole thing on video

Now why don't we all sit down and watch Lexx together? I eventually took to the internet to find an explanation of just what the hell was going on, and I'm still  . First-rate viewing, although I'm worried that my dangerously lengthy barnet is begining to take on something of a Divine Assasin look, which is probably a bad thing...

Aeryn Sun (3d-underground.com was making a nude 3D model of her but the site seems to have disappeared)
Talyn (uber-cool)
Moya (small but cool)

1) Feasible
2) Robot got it's head blown off by Cronos
2) His 'soul' is gone. He trascended, which is a lot more than the Asgard could ever do. They can't even have sex.
