Is it possible to give each species/faction their own modular tables for ships (such as tiigran-shp.tbl, terran-shp.tbl, vasudan-shp.tbl, etc-shp.tbl), or is there a limit of one per mod? Do the same rules apply to weapons?

If it's possible to have tons of .tbm's of the same type, my job will become much easier.

They're definitely budget models, but if they come out glitch-free, I'm willing to tolerate that.

I have a multiple -shp.tbm for Shivans, Terrans, Vasudans, etc. It works.
Also works with weapons.
It makes finding the specific ship/weapon you want to edit really easy. (No need for ctrl+f even!)

Yeah, I got it to work and it makes everything easier. Too bad you can't put models and maps into multiple folders too...

Well if you have a reason than no problem.

I sometimes do nothing for the mod for up to a couple weeks at a time, so I don't really expect everyone else to work on it all the time.

Anyway, how do you people like the slightly unconventional layout of the ship?

Shivans have always had some green since FS1. The only difference is that they weren't entirely green.

...Of course, the "Higher Shivans" that I suppose will be in the campaign to come will have a bit of the coloration explained then...
