T-MB Clibanarius strategic bomber test firing Bombard warhead:








Kaboom, an earth shattering kaboom:





The Bombard is bigger than a Helios.
It does more damage than a Helios.
It does more damage per second than a Helios.
Cargo size: 45.

Here's the Bombard compared to a Helios and a Herc II, as well as the Clibanarius next to an Ursa to show the relative sizes.

That thing is...huge. Compared to other bombers. I wonder if it's bigger than the UEF bombers

T-MB Clibanarius, height x width x length: 28.73x49.11x67.44 [m]. It does have large wings sticking out of it, so the hull is only a fraction of the total size.
Ursa length: 41 meters according to fswiki.

Don't know how big the UEF bombers are, so I can't compare to those...

I like the red edges on the bombs, and what is that effect you are using on detonation? looks like it would be cool in motion.

Kind of looks like an enlarged flak explosion to me, or just a regular missile explosion.

Tried it with blender...doesn't work though...otherwise I would have done my vasudan battleship-.-

Hi Tiger,
Does your shipyard have cruisers and destroyers yet? and is a concept for these types of ships here?
I´m jus learning to make right format to bring models in game. From middle of the August i´m aviable for some work on.

Well there's a bunch of WIP stuff, some nearly ready.

The only things that aren't started yet are containers, noncombat ships, carriers, and maybe 1-2 other things, but I already have an idea of what they should look like.

The Clibanarius is the last strike craft for the Tiigran-Merisst that had to be added in game, so expect a corvette or some other big thing coming in the next update.

I'll also use the help, thanks for the offer. If you could do UV mapping and converting for capships I'll send you stuff to do once in a while.

@crizza: Start with a ship that has 100-200 polygons. It could be a drone or a missile or something, then work on the big stuff.
If you can't get anything done with Blender, try a different program.

Hi Tiger,
In this time i´m on a work to modell a set of an air museum for "Rule the rail!" and from 1st Juli to 10th August in Vietnam to visit relatives of my wife.
In this time  i can begin to practize my knowledge from Mapping in RTR to FSO. :yes:
When i can start to map a cap or a support ship then i leave you a PM.

@crizza,
try it with truespace or W3D and blender as convertor. :wtf: :nod:

PS:why bnombs as Fritz-X have to be round? That thing costs me over 1 mio´s polygons :hopping:

Just re-read this thread(long time lurker), have to say that the new bomber and bomb are pretty amazing. Really liking the bomber model in particular.
Always happy to see this mod progressing.

Hi Tiger,
before i forget,im searching for good soundtracks from Absys,Alcatraz,Boray ans so more from the AMIGA scene in the mid 90´s for convert to use in several Programs and Demos. May be when the Tigris-M ships apair the battlefield the player can hear a special arrival sound. :pimp:
Latest in the evening on friday i up some sounds to my webspace,so you can hear that.

BengalTiger, would I be correct in thinking that the texturing isn't done on the Bombard? Looking, I noticed it still has lines on it that show the edges of the mesh.
