Ordered a cheap TV tuner for my computer: a Hauppauge HVR-1800. Not the newest thing but it should work for basic cable. I'm only going to use it to record a few TV shows--mostly new episodes of shows not yet on Netflix. Oh well: it's an $16 TV tuner so what's the worst that could happen?
Otherwise, I've been looking for cheap hard drives for a week or two now. I really wanna upgrade my 2TB RAID1 array to a 4TB or 6TB RAID5 array. Unfortunately, Samsung hard drives are no longer produced as Seagate replaced my HD204UI with some cheap Barracuda. That means either I need to sell my HD204UI's and buy 3-4 new drives or I can try and find 1-2 new HD204UI's. I also need to find another WD Black 1TB drive so I can backup my music library and build a RAID0 array with another (currently full) single disk.
And finally, I'm thinking of installing WHS2011 on my server--to replace Windows 7 Pro x64. That won't happen until I upgrade to a RAID5 array, though.
