Then please make it clear that you are joking, it's not a very pleasant thing to be saying to anyone, and when you are not in face-face contact, a lot is lost in meaning, so particularly with comments like that, please point out that you are joking, there are reasons.

I've seen online quizzes with side-by-side pictures charging you to "Pick the real child molester!", so with that in mind, it did come across as a joke.  Though if you weren't familiar with that sort of thing, I could see how it could seem far more sinister.

Posting in a thread I said I wouldn't anymore, now that it's far friendlier as a whole.  It's amazing what a day's worth of perspective can do.

Just stumbled on a youTube video that was claiming 'Obama still has Muslim beliefs' part of the intro was him holding a camel, which was, apparently, part of their evidence...

I'd laugh if it weren't for the fact some people take this sort of thing seriously...
