I am extremely happy right now.
Had dinner with my engineering friends, great fish & chips, come back through res to my room, see some 'memories' poster, and notice in large red print "Ted _{and his boxers}" even though I kind of haven't done much of anything with my floor people since last fall.
sure, I have 6 exams left to do, all of which I need to study for, and that's gonna suck, AND i have to get my ass a job this summer, but dammit, I AM HAPPY!

I had to go out to get some supplies and clothing for general use, and I decided to stop by my secondary school for the Hell of it.

It was like smelling ashes, really.

I graduated from secondary school in 2007. In the three years that followed, it turns out that the teachers who taught me in my final year there had mostly transferred out of the school or retired. I used to study about ten subjects, taught by nine teachers in total. Now there are only three of them left, and none of them taught me the more important subjects out of the ten. I felt like a complete stranger to the school where I spent the first half of my teenage years in, and I don't feel any sense of belonging to it any more.

I also met up with one of my friends, who was interested in seeing my portfolio. He appeared to be rather impressed with my After Effects work. However, I don't see anything to be proud of. I mean, I just did everything by the book. There's nothing to be proud of.

i imagine if i went to my high school, it would be completely different also.  no reason to expect it wouldn't be.  obviously none of my friends are still there, and teachers come and go.

I was just doing community service at my old elementary school.  I couldn't actually get anything done for the first hour because all the teachers that knew me 8+ years ago wouldn't leave me alone.

now THAT would be a massive nostalga trip.  but i doubt any of my teachers are still there.  word is my elementary school went ghetto.  i did go to the wedding of my first grade teacher some years ago though.  it must have been about 5-7 years after i was in her class.

wise choice.

i hate the condition of the rec fields here.  they do zero upkeep on them.  just played keeper in a soccer tournament on extremely hard dirt fields.  diving hurt like a mother****er, and the ground impacts were so hard i have a massive headache.  seriously, how hard is it to plant grass and then keep it watered?  we even have a ****ing "turf management" major here.

Got up, got to school at 8:30. Told that the trio I was supposed to be performing in wouldn't actually be performing. Went to Regionals anyway and hung out all day.

I really need to find better ways to spend my time.
