i finished my super-beefy high speed 6x6 robot car, built entirely out of legos. it weighs about 15 pounds with batteries (6 aa nimhs, a 9v li-poly and a 11.1v lipoly pack. though i may eliminate a few by using some voltage regulators and running 3 different buses off of it, 5v, 9v and 11.1v) and is ready for code. though i might add a servo actuated turret for the camera, which would be operated remotely with a trackir for full telepresence.

I just got back from Prom.  I accomplished my objective for this year:  I actually got to dance with someone before I graduated.  Nevermind it wasn't the person I really wanted to dance with,* but I'm not going to complain.  Even though I didn't get to dance with the person I asked, I don't feel bad after this dance.  Yay me!

* She said no.  I think.  She tried to dodge the question for quite a bit before giving an ambiguous answer back.  Decided not to jeopardize any progress I had made.  She gave me a hug before we left though, so I'm inclined to think progress was indeed made.

i spent my ENTIRE prom not with the girl i really wanted to be with.  i was too much of a pansy to break up with my current girlfriend (well on its way to failing) before prom.  the other one even told me later she wanted to go with me.

Well, I went by myself, and spent the next ~2 hours working up the nerve to ask.  That lead to the response indicated (which would probably have been quite amusing if I hadn't been the one asking).  The person I actually did dance with I'm pretty sure was just trying to find a random person when the person she came with didn't want to dance to the song.  But that's just my best guess.

okay, first off: I'm back from the FRC Championships in Atlanta. I had tons of fun, and last night I met a girl that I actually understood, only to find out a minute later she lives several states away, then we got seperated while we were talking because of the huge crowds.  F*ck my life. Anyways, I'll probably wind up uploading a bunch of the pictures I took, provided they dont show me or members of my team. 

In other news, It turns out that the '206 trojans' thing was just the start: turns out it's a particularily nasty strain that multiples without duing otherwise visible damage. My Dad found it, and is slghtly pissed at me, but not as much as I would expect. the anti-virus program has been running for the better art of the day, and has so far quarantined 5,351  copies of this one virus.

Depends how much you talked, I'd say. If it was over 30-45 mins, e.g. A proper conversation was established, then it's fine. If the conversation was less than 10 minutes, depending on the girl, she may be a little miffed. IMO.

well look at it this way, the worst that happens is some girl who you will never see again thinks you're creepy, as opposed to the alternative of some girl who you will never see again has no idea who you are.  not a whole lot to loose there.
