I've learned from unofficial channels that my course is on probation due to low demand. It also seems that, instead of us forming separate groups to do a short film that we come up with, we're now going to work as one single group doing a short film with a script the school comes up with. Bad call for some of my classmates, since they've already completed about a quarter of what they originally wanted to do.

Just saw something on the news, texting is now an "addiction," I'm waiting for it to be called a disease next.
Apparently it creates similar brain functions to a heroin user, with similar withdrawl effects.

i redesigned my lego 6x6 from the ground up. fixed some friction problems in the suspension. because i had to reduce the amount of travel in the suspension i had to improve the ground clearance as well which meant redesigning the steering too (which sucks because all 6 wheels steer and its all controlled by 1 servo). also built in some cable management and made better use of some of the voids in the hull (to mount extra circuitry). the result is ive actually doubled its speed. i also attempted to improve the camera turret, but i think its worse than it was. it refuses to hard center, has little fine control in the center and has a level of mechanical drag which makes the movement kinda sluggish, jumping around and jittering. since im controlling it with head tracking its giving me a sore neck. so im either gonna have to tweak the onboard code or redesign the turret again. a few other quirks with the software is that setting the motor controller to anything less than 40% power makes an annoying humming noise and i think i have to either have a massive 40% deadzone in the throttle control or il have to remap the output. other than that it works pretty good.  i made a few laps around the kitchen and living room, attempting to navigate the messy floor using only the video display. i say i did pretty good.

Well, anything can be an addiction. Addiction is not so much the activity. Its more about  the person doing the activity and how their brain reacts to it.

Well, anything can be an addiction. Addiction is not so much the activity and its more about  the person doing the activity. How their brain reacts to it.
