Playing Frantic 2, my new favorite flash game. It's frikking insane: basic premise, It's one of those top down scrolling spacefighter/airplane deals, like  or something, but there's tons of crap on screen at once, with lots of explosions really weak enemies, and the player ship just blows mega wave lazers and **** everywhere, all set to some of the best instrumental power mental I've ever heard.

Been on a low ebb for months now, not fun being unemployed in the middle of a recession whilst suffering from a Bipolar set firmly on the negative pole :/

I hate spring in general, but this spring in particular. The thesis isn't going so well (largely because it's a group assignment), other study-related matters are kicking me in the bollocks, getting a (summer) job in this city is roughly as easy teaching a fish to ride a bicycle, the potential missus lives roughly 300 miles away...

Gawd everybody's depressed today it seems. Not Just on here, one of the nicer women that works with us revealed she's leaving in two and a half weeks. This resulted in a massive morale drop for my mate Jack. No pay rise for anyone so we're not happy anyway. Outside of work is fine.

I'm also going to have to get a basic Algebra book, I'm trying to learn Java3D and have realised that I've pretty much forgotten everything I learned about Algebra, which is essential if you want to do anything beyond the most basic stuff in any 3D system.

well i redesigned the turret again, the motion is a lot more linear now. i also found a bug in my code where the motors werent being given 100% power, in fact it was only getting about 40% power. having fixed it my 6x6 now hauls serious ass. i decided not multiplex the turret yaw, in that i now get a full 180 degrees of rotation and needed more sensitivity on that axis, the throttle is now multiplexed with the turret pitch, since neither use their full range (only the upper 2/3s of the throttle are used and the camera pitch only uses about quarter of its range where as steering and turret use the whole range). i also added some offsets to the code so as to allow everything to be calibrated so that turret and steering are at dead zero. the turret also works much better with trackir control than it did. so you can drive through the house at full throttle and have enough situational awareness to avoid hitting stuff. tomorrow il see about recording some video, though all i have to work with is two ****ty webcams and no way to capture the analog feed im using for the camera (right now its all displayed to a 3.5" screen with a composite line). maybe i can find some cheap video capture device off the net. another good point is that it now has 5v and 9v bus lines to power the servo controller and the camera, respectively, though the nxt is still using its 6 aa nimhs. could probibly run it off the same bus as the camera, provided i make some fake batteries.
