with my being on second shift and having my gaming computer out of commission for a long time, i've had little else to do than watch late night television.  that's when these guys REALLY come out of the woodwork.  along with the 1-800-talk-dirty kind of stuff.

In Western Massachusetts, there's a "Best of the Valley" annual award that the local paper gives out for various categories, such as restaurants. It's presumably by some sort of popular vote. Anyways, I once noticed that the ambulance chaser on the back of the local phone book also had a "Best of the Valley" designation. So apparently there are awards for best ambulance chasers, too. :wtf:

In other news, turns out my cell phone only holds 256 text messages. Lame. It's what I get for getting a POS of a phone. :banghead:

Sidenote: Went to the theatres to watch Prometheus. Had this nice seat in the AVX theatre, reclined chairs, plenty of leg room, 7.1 surround, largest screen ever aaaaaaand...
My mother gets claustrophobic and I only get to see five minutes of the actual movie, but half hour worth of commercials

Note to self - Never go to movies as a family (Brother shared similar sentiments). At least we all went to the pub afterwards, had food and some brews. That was good

Though not as reliable, and likely not warranty approved, third party universal cords are much, much cheaper than ones from the laptop manufacturer.

Depending on the adapter needed, I've picked up universal cords for $20. Though that was a really cheap one, build quality wise.

universal ones are barely cheaper than the manufacturer's original replacement.  it's about $70 vs. $100.  and i'm slightly worried that all the universal ones i've looked at so far are 19-19.5 volts vs. the 20 volts written on the side of the original one.

Again, I'm looking at one right now that I purchased for $20 CDN, that goes to 24V. Now, admittedly, this is a cheap Chinese one purchased from a Factory Direct.

If best buy is as far as you'll look, then yeah, you're stuck with expensive prices. Since when has Best Buy ever had decent prices on computer hardware?

Not sure where you're at, but pretty much any larger computer parts retailer (TigerDirect, etc.) has 90 Watt supplies going for 40-50 bucks US. Heck, even lowly Wintronics up here carries ones that appear to be OEM replacements for around that 40 to 50 dollar range CDN.
