Shotguns, specifically those firing standard flavors of shot and not slugs, are less of a concern for collateral damage (vs. rifles, pistols, etc.) because the shot tends to rapidly loose its KE after a certain range. Not to mention that the lethality of said rounds also decline the more spread out it is.

I think his point was the generic firing into the air, where some of the KE of the shot is restored by gravity.

The terminal velocity of a bullet is much, much, much lower then the velocity it exists the barrel with - bullets shot in the air falling down don't hurt people (atleast not severely). If they did, you wouldn't see so many people doing it

there are known cases of falling bullets killing people. so many people do it because it doesn't hurt THEM, it hurts someone half a mile away.

Unfortunately, this would only be true if fired directly up; otherwise the magic of a ballistic trajectory takes over (and people have been severely hurt and killed by bullets fired into the air).

No worries, there are lots of pretentious sci-fi shorts which assume because they use heavy cgi or polished production, that they can get away with mediocre story. I like this short and it made me smile.

A nice sit-down office job where I can work during the day and sleep at night. I work graveyard shift right now, so that'll be a relief.

Office junior/telesales at the Citizen's Advice Pension Bureau. It aint great, but it's close and will be a source of income. I've alos got an interview for a security firm on wednesday, also for an admin role.
