Got a job interview next week for a job I'd actually like.

Got through to the final round for this, but it's the day after a major uni deadline next week AND I'm sick. Why do all these things always pile up? I feel like I don't even have time to breathe.

Had the final interview today. I think it went okay... they'll let me know in a couple of weeks!

This never used to happen until they switched from 2 bags of 15 each to a stiff plastic tray with 2 holes for 13 each. And kept the price the same when they made the change, too, IIRC. (This was many years ago now)

No, not at all. This one got shot down over Ukraïne yesterday killing 300 people (most of them apperently had something to do with an AIDS summit, some leading health researchers) by AFAIK, russian seperatists who mistook it for an Ukrainian Antonov An-22. Most of these people were Dutch, so this is getting a lot of coverage in the Netherlands right now.

Friend of mine got hit with the "your windows has viruses oh noez!" scam call today. He wasn't thinking straight, and actually listened to the scammer and let him remote into his computer. Fortunately, my friend did have the presence of mind to not pay anything and disconnect the remote and call.

Then I went over to perform a comprehensive virus scan and deliver a lecture on the dangers on the internet. His parents are still a security risk though...

I've always found that the best arguments I've ever had were with myself, due to the fact that I can never lose. But doesnt that also mean that I can never win?

oh, you can definitely lose an argument to yourself.  i do all the time.

Seems like winning an argument with yourself and losing one would most often happen simultaneously. By losing, you move on to a more correct position.

Aardwolf's girl problems update: guy says he's not really in touch with the first person I mentioned... and I think she might not even be getting email notifications for FB messages. So now I briefed him on the second person, the one I care most about getting back in touch with, the literal woman of my dreams (though I didn't tell him that).

In summary: got scowled at by the WalMart cashier for buying a bottle of wine at 3am, attended my aunt's wedding, talked to a bunch of relatives I don't know, had some good Italian food, played in the casino a bit and came out with $100 more than I went in with, even after tips and buying dinner.
