In other news, had a get together with friends for milady's Birthday, I cooked Pizza and we watched the following:

Brvtal! Evil Dead with Metal

Funny enough the Kiwi accents can be surprisingly hard to follow at times.

Though the film title is a little unimaginative the story is solid and fight scenes are inspired. As always Donnie Yen is such a bad ass.

Am I the only person who thinks Hans Zimmer's Interstellar theme is the best ever version of Alanis Morisette's "Uninvited"?

well at least it wasn't a 980 Ti.

I almost bit on the 970 a while ago. The reports of the more or less 'fake' 4gb of VRAM is what stopped me and I decided to wait for the next generation, or at least prices to fall significantly. That was probably a year ago and neither has happened. In fact prices have increased ever so slightly. Then I toyed with going back to AMD, but now I'm kinda hooked on the bells and whistles of nvidia. I realize that this is stupid.

Yeah, won't lie, the 3.5 + .5GB is sort of weird and annoying, but given I've never needed anywhere past 3 I don't worry myself about it
It's not like I'm going to 4k resolution any of my stuff

Leaned some lessons with this one. Still kicking myself for mig welding it instead of riveting it together. Thought I would save time, but spent more time on clean up than if I would have just used rivet.

I was watching the last 3 hours of Revival Productions' 24-hour stream as they counted down to the deadline for the Overload Kickstarter. I'm filled with a great sense of satisfaction knowing that they will be going back in business due to the successful conclusion of the Kickstarter.

So... my dads dog Arvo died just a minute ago. Apparently he got an heart attack this morning and managed somehow linger in the fine line of consciousness up 'till now.
He passed away on the living room rug peacefully surrounded by his favorite stuffed toys.

He was a 12 years old lab, friend of everyone. He had a good life.

Condolences and big hugs. I've seen dogs go in worse ways. It's never good to lose a member of the family.
