FS2 on Spanish gaming forum
So, QD just posted a link to some epic pimpage of FS on a Spanish (what I can only assume to be) gaming forum, here.

It's great publicity with some epic pics, but he seems to be... well, taking credit for a lot of it. For instance,

[08:46:28] <DarthGeek> some of the project images (the BP and JAD ones) have "Jesnec productions" at the bottom. The user's username is Jesnec. >.>

so... a translation (or just a general summary by a Spanish speaker) would be nice. Mura? Help pl0x? :P

Anyway, my spanish is really weak (I slept through some HS classes in Spanish), so I'm not sure what to make of this.

[EDIT] Looking at the page source, HLP is linked to and mentioned several times. So maybe it is just a pimpage/review post.

Freespace 2 for many, is without doubt the best space simulator ever been created. Some live in the nostalgic longing for the third installment that never came, because as we all know, Interplay ceased to exist.
Freespace 2 has a complex plot that unfolds throughout the missions, not during them. The design of these is varied, and you will always have the feeling of doing something new because you can't know what will happen during the mission. Alliances are broken, attacks occur, sometimes you will have to retreat to stay alive and fight later. You'll have to destroy, escort, investigate, examine, and the best part, make decisions that affect the development of history. Sometimes there is no need to do anything, since so-called "capital ships", true monsters of gigantic proportions are engaged in violent clashes with energy beams while you try to survive the chaos of battle.

The retail game is old, came out in 1999, but the gaming community has taken on the responsibility to tune the engine so that you can now download the Freespace Open MediaVP and Engine, which provides some impressive new features to the game without sacrificing what originally made the game great. Using the new features it easily rivals any modern game.

Sound:

high-fidelity, immersive, Doppler effects, impact sounds, and the voice acting is very well done.

Gameplay:

The most complete available on flight simulation [I don't get what he means here, I think he forgot a word],  total control of the speed of the ship (you can turn in whichever direction you want [6dof]), Shield control that allows you to enhance an area's shield, control the energy system of the spacecraft to customize how much energy goes to power your weapons, shield or engines [he says motors here but he obviously means engines], target specific parts of enemy ships allowing you to disable or even, in some missions capture prisoners, order allied vessels , superb AI, each ship pilots differently and feels different, customizable HUD and the list goes on and on.

[more screens]

Some might think that to do all that, you will have to learn the function of each key, their combinations and even have to read some pilot's manual (such as another simulator ... * Ahem * * Ahem * Vega .. Strike ... * Ahem * * Cough! * * cough! *) No. little by little you will learn to use each function, depending on your progress in rank, military position, or if they assign you to another squadron, and while the n=umber of controls are not excessive, you can always take the fighter training.

Ill get back to it in a sec

oh, and if you're worried he is taking credit, he isn't, he just has his watermarks on stuff for no reason, but he never says they are his mods.

I speak spanish...read all the lines till some of the custom campaigns:

He's not taking credit for them, but he's also not saying who made them.
Anyway... I guess you can discover that by yourself when you download the packs and look into the credits table.

Basically this is a post in a forum for users in spanish, so that the ones that can't read english get to download the game and play some of the missions with the upgrade packs.

A resume of HLP's releases thread and the like but in spanish.

Why don't you look at this one, too? I needed quite some time to write it and get the necessary pics. :(

I did not have the permission to add links to GoG and HLP, but that surely doesn't prevent those interested from using Google. Oh, now that I check it again after some time, looks like someone added an image from BP as background. I guess I have to change that, as it has nothing to do with the original game.  :nervous:
