I didn't actually start playing it until around the mid 90's. Although the fact that the game was completely freespaced didn't help anything. That being said I actually did own it legally, I think my parents must have gotten as a gift sometime in the early 90's but I wasn't old enough to really understand it until about late elementry school or so. I still remember the two 5 1/4" floppy disks and the neat map, along with the awesome boxart. So really, being too young at the time of release is really no excuse.

Okay, then how about a general dislike of open-ended games coupled with never hearing about it until now? :p
