I may have made a tiny mistake in my SSP world....  I made a small melon farm and kept harvesting it.  On the surface, that's not so terrible, except that melon, as compared to bread, is a ****ty source of food.  Making health potions isn't that appealing either, as between my tree farm and mine, I've no trouble whatsoever making golden apples to aid in healing.

The only thing left to do with all this melon, then, is to craft the slices back into blocks.  I put it to you, then:  What the hell do I do with two-and-a-half (and counting) stacks of melon blocks?!

I'm using the freenode one, integrated into my firefox.

I use IceChat with highly customized settings. Also, HLP uses irc.Esper.net (as seen in the IRC links under the HLP tab at the top).

All clients can connect to the same servers and channels.  You need to connect to the right channel in order to get to the right one.  HLP uses irc.esper.net, channel #hard-light.

Melons have the unique distinction of being the only food that can come in block form, I believe. Mushroom blocks don't really count.

I don't mind melon as food, it's plentiful. The only problem is that it takes a little too long to eat your way back up to full food.

With regards to all this melon-hate: I find that melon is a sub-optimal but acceptable primary food source. That said, I tend to keep melon around to quickly "top off" my hunger gauge without having to waste some extra nutrition. Bread, meat, and 'shroom stew are probably still the best primary foods.

Got another incident of griefing, half of tommoe's house and a good chunk of the mountain has been blown up with TNT (917, -61)

I lost a cobblestone, stone, stone brick, dirt and redstone stuff (redstone, torches, repeaters, carts, rails pistons etc.) but I don't need any of it really.
If you wanted to know the tnt seemed to have come from my chest, I'm presuming this since the chest was every un ocd like and i have 3 tnt left.

Naturally. But if you can rebuild something over two evenings for example, makes sense to just do it instead of waiting 3 weeks for an admin to show up. Or just knock it down and put a bigger, better building in its place. Though if you're not going to be on the server then there's no problem in waiting. Does anyone know who these griefers are in terms of aliases? I see a bunch of different people on but I don't know who's a legitimate player and who's a douchebag.

Or does minecraft have the capability to protect servers via password? That would prevent unknown players from logging on.
