If it's to become a shipyard, how big is it then, and what kind of ships are being manufactured there then- fighters/bombers? As with all these details it looks rather small.

So there's no chance seeing TI anytime soon...ish or...?

The actual drydock/shipyard bits are intended to be roughly 1000m long, so I'm mostly thinking cruisers and corvettes, but the exact dimensions will be decided on during the pof building stage. The plan I have in mind for it means it will need to be at least able to fit cruisers.

As for TI, I did actually get right back into it for awhile a few months back, and I found a mission I'd previously balanced pretty well is now impossible. So I'm nervous that a whole bunch of it might need rebalancing and I think that's kind of scared me off it. Maybe I should just dump what's there, I don't know... :blah:

I think before you truly consider dumping TI you should ask for aid on HLP. :) There was still interest in the other thread, so it's surely worth an attempt. I can help testing if necessary, but my FREDing skills might be not good enough though.
Of course only if RL is giving you enough time for that and you still have the motivation. :nod:

This is what I'm messing around with in my (rare) free time in between baby duties:

Textures are still deeply WiP

I am sorry I nearly missed this .... No idea what to do with it right now, as I have the layout form TLG3's Arginusae-mission all drawn and ready to go; maybe it I can find some use of it in Of Shivans and Men, the Cooperative needs some (former) GTA installations to heist after all...

I found a mission I'd previously balanced pretty well is now impossible. So I'm nervous that a whole bunch of it might need rebalancing and I think that's kind of scared me off it.

Been there over a year ago with Light of Antares, it was the replay that launched a thousand quality of live changes :)

I figured out that I was just forgetting an essential rule that I was keeping back then - in the case of LoA it was remembering the missions 3-5 require a lot of squad management and the campaign overall requires a hightened awareness of your surroundings. Solved that just by changing the wording in the directives, adding targeting groups and putting a few navpoints into the HUD.

Because it may be similar, but the Shattered Stars storyline has something to do with it. :)

Using 10-poly models as placeholders? Sure, okay, perfectly clear.

Using 10-poly models as placeholders made by someone else? Lol, nope. I can't freaking get that. You have some basic modelling skills, and overlapping your placeholders even with some stretched tiles is 1-minute job. Why do ya bother with permissions if your own placeholders are 5-minute job?

In case one can find anything else and doesn't have much time, you can always slap some debris pieces from various ships together in a good looking (or alteast not crashing or copyright breaking) way.

Oh, okay, I thought it was about these dozen-poly models. But the point still stands. It stands even more since it's about a large company that could just sue you into the ground, and maybe get HLP tangled into this somehow.

It me. Bryan See. I started it when I realised at that time there was shortage of hi-poly Shivan models years before the release of Inferno: Nostos. When you took over, I started another Shivan ship, the Shivan Battleship/Dreadnaught Sariel and two years later I started work on the Shivan juggernaut Amritaya. All of these, including the Raguel, will appear in my mod, Shattered Stars, as well as another crossover mod. I plan to re-do the Vinaashak and the Shiamak.
