You mean FS built-in screenshots ? Have you tried FRAPS (or any third-party soft with similar screenshot features) ?

I could use FRAPS but there's not much need when all I need is to take screenshots.

It's not a major issue anyway.

Some of us don't play with FOV=0.001. Didn't you read the previous page?

The lens flares on the thrusters I made specifically for the thrusters on my own ships - they're designed to work with larger thruster points in the POF. Sticking them on FS2 ships without upsizing the thrusters would look odd. That said, I'm planning on releasing all these effects soon along with all my ships, in a modpack with some real organization for once.

There are also lens flares from the sun and I thought they didn't show up in screenshots but I'm dumb - it's just that neither of the sun lens flares are visible at that angle (red one's off the screen, blue one's covered up by the ship).

and i have to agree the stars are jarringly deformed

It's a CCD camera image. They look deformed because it's not true to what the eye would see. (Also, they've been overexposed; the thin lines from the compass points are CCD overexposure symptoms.)
