While pretty, setting up backgrounds with them (for best looks) is a relatively time consuming matter

That's one reason why I want as much different setups as possible - With a 'database' of good looking nebulae designs you'll be able to set up one different background per FS2 system

Converting MODs or campaigns would literally only be a matter of a few minutes then.

Mmh, there's one thing that bothers me with the "cream" nebula, there's a big scratch on one of them, you see it on about every pic showing them

On the topic of bakcground nebula's, does enyone remember the options for nebula backgrounds in FRED1? You just selected some options and a nebula background appeared. The same options are in FRED2, but the system crashes if you try and use them.

It looks like FRED2 could support the nebula background program, but Volition couldn't be bothered to put it in.

Maybe SCP or someone else could reintroduce this feature. I know the nebula's made like this look Crap compared to what you're making, but it would be good for beginners, who then just have to add a couple of planets to make an acceptable background.

(In case anyone is wondering, i'm taking about the options below the Nebula missions stuff)

yes! help me along. Could you go through the images in the zipfile and tell me the file name(s) where this happens?

I've been hunting visual bugs in my nebulae, but i'm only human so I guess there's some left.

Thanks for pointing me to it, if you can find out which file this is (or I find it out beforehand) I'll fix it

right back at ya. That's one of the best things I've seen this community do for a while. Of course it's no technical or artistic feat (actually, in some places it is), but that's community. I thought you'd understand that, Lightspeed - it's what HLP's really all about.

Besides the highlight for this should be when you and jdjtcagle finish putting them into the Main FS2 Campaign. It would make for prettier pictures and would show the improvement over the old ones much better.
