2 SGreens on Aeolus can be a big danger even for bigger ships like Deimos :P. Bigger beams looks more powerfull... But mainly it's a personal preference. Looks simply better for me.

Actually, the S Green can barely challenge cruisers. It has a DPS of 64, which is less than most fighter weapons...

The beam itself deals like 2700 damage but it has a firewait of a wooping 45seconds.
With retail a.i. its even more than that

I asked for that, but I got shut down because there'd be too many lights for the engine to realistically handle.

I think that's a per pass limit, and I think we're currently doing single-pass rendering.

Lol. I like how that shot emphasizes the lack of a 4th frontal beam turret. (Beam sizes look good on that cruiser as well)

And as you will notice, it's RED again.

One of the SBeam* files was to blame for the color shift that happened and it was eventually found and corrected with a baseball bat.
