Not really, she wanted to travel the world for years and her ex bullied her out of it and was a complete cnut. Mental amd physical abuse etc. I do NOT want to run into him ever or he'll end up in a motorway foundation somewhere. She needs to follow her dream. I'll be waiting, and i'm told (i believe her too, i've enough experience to know) that she wants to be with me when she returns. Soooooo, I guess i'm off the market for life :|
Sounds like a good relationship, you're a lucky guy. Seems like you'll just have to slum with us unlucky guys for awhile.

Re: W-H-I-Y-L I pity the fools that diss it.
Had my first taste of table top gaming during lunch break at work, 1:144 scale WWI dogfighting.  My two Dr.Is got knocked out post haste.

We had our second dogfight today, five players with two planes each.  I had a pair of D.VIIs, one white and one red.  My red one managed to hit a nice Immelman and get some hits on an enemy Hanover but soon afterward was engaged by a flight of Albatross that rolled a critical hit which turned out to be a pilot hit.  As the furball developed between the other four players my remaining D.VII gained some altitude and distance before swooping in behind everyone in the last couple turns.  Managed to come in right behind one of the Albatrosses that attacked my red kite and take him out with two critical hits, both pilot hits.  One of the other players who had a pair of Dr.Is wiped out the other Albatross so my lost kite was avenged.  Since we are tracking pilot performance to increase rank I needed to give my successful pilot a name, I decided to go with "Der Weisse Hahn"

That's a lot of space. Any thoughts on what you'll be filling it up with?

Just came back from seeing Battle: Los Angeles. If it set itself up as anything but a cliched war movie in the first ten minutes, I would've been disappointed. Fortunately, it didn't, and I'm quite fulfilled. :D

I reckon the game would be cooler if it let you control more than two planes and the AI was smarter.

Music, porn, and warez.

I'm almost done playing around, at least with the server. I'll clean Z:\ and reduce that down to only Audio and move my concert-DVD rips to Y:\. I added the second 320GB so I've currently got paired 80GB drives, paired 2TB drives and paired 320GB drives.

when it comes right down to it i can fit everything i have in less than 500 gigs of space. and if i clean up old wares and disk images i no longer use and movies i dont watch no more i could probably half that. and considering terabyte drives are less than 60 bucks i dont think i would ever need that much storage.  i am kind of experiencing a hard drive shortage though, so a couple terabyte drives would be badass.

If all goes well, we have an Arcadia, Typhon, Colossus, Sathanas, Hades, Medusa, Boanerges, and IIRC a Boadicea going into this next MVP release, not even counting all the Shivan stuff being worked on, which is more than I could have hoped for in my wildest wet dreams. And all I see in the Arcadia and Typhon threads is whether they look retail-y enough. Facepalm

Yeah, the next MVPs release is going to be the biggest in FSU history. It might actually motivate me to replay the retail campaigns.
[16:57] <CommanderDJ> What prompted the decision to split WiH into acts?

* Mongoose skips like 180 unread pages, at least for the moment.

So as Battuta discovered the other day, I've been playing through Braid for the first time.  It's quite the experience from a mechanics standpoint, and the artwork is just gorgeous.  To my utter shock, I've managed to get most of the way through World 5's puzzle pieces without needing to consult a walkthrough.  World 4 had a few incredibly difficult ones to track down, including one that probably took me a good hour or so of fooling-around, but I managed to get it.  This is incredibly unusual for me, as I'm usually the first one to reach for a hint guide as soon as I get stuck in a game, but it's a good feeling. :)

(Oh, and I got two hat drops in TF2 in all of two days.  Pleased, the Mongoose is. :D)
