Realize big boards take time to accumulate in size. It's nothing wrong to have a little offtopic posting, because things like the little discussion on "Who's The Stig?" could've became a meme for WoD...or would've just been funny. I think by deleting them, you're discouraging people from wanting to post here.
Nothing wrong with a 'little' offtopic posting.
But when all the posts being made the past days are nothing But offtopic its a different story...
Truer words couldn't have been spoken. Its only been what? 3 weeks since release? And you got a forum of your own and your very own weeaboo fanclub? Thats a pretty awesome achievement if you ask me.
Exactly because its been 3 weeks... activity has pretty much dropped to zero. Do you think that with more time passing there will be more activity? That's not usually how things go with game releases.
I'm sorry if I sound like a whining c*** but as Battuta has said before me. Feedback is pretty much the only 'reward' for a modder. Its the thing that motivates me and the thing that makes me feel it was worth it.
I'm not getting a lot of info from the release thread about a few things I'd like to know. So I made a poll, the same way Bats did for BP. The only difference is that only 19 people bothered to post in mine vs 120 in the bp one. So I still don't know a whole lot.
Is the universe not interesting enough? Is it poorly written? Or is there no room for speculation because everything is being explained too well? Without feedback from the players, there's no way for me to know.
There are a lot of things WoD did that no other freespace campaign or mod ever did. Is this being appreciated by the players?
meh, I'm sure I got my point across now.
You do realize that, as magnificent as your work is, it's also vastly different from what came before, and that people need to adjust to that otherness first?
I'm not asking for hundreds of adoring fan letters (thought they would be appreciated

)
If people don't let me know if they like or dislike this otherness then what can I do? Invest an other vast amount of time and effort in a sequel that may or may not be liked because it is not freespace doesn't really sound so appealing to me right now.
Are you serious?
You can't compare the feedback a completely new project gets to the sequel to one of the most beloved campaigns ever.
It's still brilliant work, but you shouldn't compare it to WiH. Compare it to TVWP, or ASW, or even Inferno.
This kinda sounds like you are saying "You can't compare them, they are in completely different leagues"

Yes WiH and WoD are different beasts both in story telling and gameplay, but the same goes for TVWP, ASW and Inferno. Why would comparing WoD with say ASW be any more valid than comparing it with WiH?
