EDIT: I think it IS the same map. There's that gate in the second video and you see it in the beginning of the first video.
EDIT2: Turns out it's an Unreal Tournament map.

someone tried to do this with doom 3 some time ago. the mod flopped but it was still pretty badass.

UDK is made specifically to be easy to use; I can see this going farther than the Doom 3 one. Definitely checking this out.
