New Battutafiction: Sekhmet hunts the dying Gnosis
If I'm just aching this can't go on
I came from chasing dreams to feel alone
There must be changes, miss to feel strong
I really need lifе to touch me

Definitely my favourite of his stories so far.
The good Christian should beware of mathematicians, and all those who make empty prophecies. The danger already exists that the mathematicians have made a covenant with the devil to darken the spirit and to confine man in the bonds of Hell.

Impressive, awe inspiring and beautiful. The ancient struggle between liberalism utopia ("He has hidden himself at the end, as far from the tidal flats and the beginning as he could find) and nihilistic darwinism, told by the means of mythical proportions. As it should be. Religious and mythical grammar speaking current philosophical transhumanist questions. A tad presumptuous " for it is a wonder to her to be named so well by something so small.", but efficient. Darwinian evolution is ultimately defeated by what it creates. The story reeks and swims within paradoxes and contradictions.

I was, however, a bit confused by the last parts of it.

Read it yesterday and loved it. But now that we've glimpsed a sci fi story with such mythic, multiverse-spanning scope, it's gonna be hard to go back to the future.

Thanks guys! Glad you enjoyed it, and glad people are engaging with the ~subtext~.

Swash I'm not sure if you're making a point or you wanted to say 'back to the future'

Haven't seen a 'tuttafiction I haven't enjoyed, and I don't think I will. Excellence.

Also, this might just be me, but "Sekhmet hunts..." seems to feel a bit like a Michael Kirkbride piece. Ed: Which I suppose should be a compliment to MK, heheh.

The latter I think. But the story was really big! Sometimes it's worth pointing out when something is really big. Like Marmaduke.

That was amazing. I agree with the Kirkbride comparisons, and I also got a hint of Dresden Codak mixed with BP. Wish I knew enough to speak more knowledgeably about it.

I am not sure how to answer that.

I've got a new one up, including a pretty nice audio production: http://escapepod.org/2014/03/29/ep441-kumara/

Finally got around to reading the OP link.  Well crafted, indeed.  Took me about halfway before I truly caught on.  Very sublime, very provoking.

Loved it too. A touch of Huxley, I miss that.
