Creepy!

What about this stuff here:  http://www.hard-light.net/wiki/index.php/Animation_Code

I'm guessing the two methods of animation are mutually exclusive?

That's because its the HTL AB Zakros, which BP used as a Vishnan ship.

Re: A celebration of Freespace
Yeah, sorry about that... I just wanted the models ingame as fast as possible, which meant cutting some corners

The maps it generates are pretty decent, if you have good geometry.

I'd be happy to pass models through 3d coat and send them back, but as mjn said, that's not the best option.
that map isnt half bad, considering its auto-uved

Actually Vishnan preserver was an retextured TFDx Apocalypse and those  2 in the pic are bit more high poly ones the closest in the screenshot is a TFDx Armageddon that is still under construction when the shivans show up on polaris starting third great war all thanks to GTVI in now scrapped MT

Re: A celebration of Freespace
It's called a Conversion Matrix gun, whatever the hell that means

TFWX Conversion Matrix: Extracting it's awesome power directly from the core of the Apocalypse's total conversion reactor cluster, the Conversion Matrix functions as a remote acquirer of matter to feed the reaction. Though it has never been tested on the field, the calculations behind it show that it will consume enormous amounts of matter per second - as much as 0.87 megatons - and will increase abruptly the power output of the main cluster. Special containment and dissipation systems have been built around the power core of the Apocalypse, as anticipation to a possible event where such weapon might be used, but the lack of proper field testing makes it completely impossible to predict the exact results of activating the weapon.(from design doc)

basically it can destroy a Sathanas with a single shot (even with minimal power usage can't be used with full power because it's way too unstable it could overheat and destroy the whole ship (full power was going to be used at last mission of MT)

Re: A celebration of Freespace
Well the model has been used several times. I understand it was originally a Terran ship in MT actually.
Long time ago, you see, there was this thing called the VBB and... oh, nevermind.
