Re: Whatever Happens in Your Life IV: The Voyage Home
I played RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 and stopped at where I uninstalled it the last time: after reaching Tycoon for the first three scenarios. Clint Bushton proved to be quite an easy VIP to please. I didn't even need to build Empire Express. :D

Clint.....Bushton?
ROFL!
I'm having throat surgery number... 4? In a few hours.
Ouch?

I lost a power supply and probably a motherboard too. I'll see about ordering replacements tomorrow.

Just started re-reading a 30 page outline of a story for a mod I was making a while back. It has so much potential, but there's so much **** to weed out.

Actually it was 38, I just thought the 8 was a zero.  :blah:

If I had taken the time to not write crap, I could have saved so much time.

Oh, and I didn't count the 29 page beginning of a novel for the game, or the 5 other pages of miscellaneous planning, or the 34 pages of concept art.

Also, to put it into perspective, this was for a total conversion. :p

I did that a few times. I now restrict myself to single-sentence mission descriptions that will ultimately be attached the the FRED file and leave the rest of it in my head.

How do you do that? If I did that, nothing I did would have any sort of continuity from mission to mission. I can't FRED fast enough to keep that level of detail fresh in my mind.

Re: Whatever Happens in Your Life IV: The Voyage Home
And now you've gone an asked a question I can't quite answer. :P

Seriously though. I can't quite answer that because I'm not sure. I've never been terribly fond of outlining to begin with, preferring to extemporize detail as I go along under an overarching objective. I do it well, but why this particular method works for me I can't tell you. At times I've viewed it as having a finite amount of creative energy for the project at hand and outlining burns it up, but I'm pretty sure that's not really true.

Keep in mind that planning document was for a whole campaign. :P I prefer to write things down so I can look at it whenever I want to and add to it, I don't trust myself to remember things like that for more than about 15 minutes, and occasionally after being "inspired" I'll have a brilliant series of ideas, and writing them down in that mindset makes for an interesting read down the track.

I managed to get my wireless router set up, and made my first trade on the GTS - A Cranidos for a Kadabra. :D

Hopefully it still works tomorrow. :nervous:

What? Harry Potter?

Re: Whatever Happens in Your Life IV: The Voyage Home
It premiered at midnight.

I'm going to go see it today.

EDIT: Also got a Japanese Scyther for a Pinsir. :)

I thought the Japanese versions were incompatible with English... or did they fix that with the advent of the GTS?
