The page has changed again, but previously there was a statement about GOG being unable to continue to exist in its current form and that they're shutting down.

No, there was previously a long statement about how they were shutting down. It's now overloaded.

That's a pity, better make sure I've got downloaded any games I've bought, since you never know how long the replacement system is going to last...

They seemed to be doing well. This is very strange.

Problem is, a lot of companies these days won't admit when they are in trouble until the very last minute. Maybe the profit margin isn't high enough when you specialise in cheaper games, maybe the GoG format was designed to purely fund a further project and this was planned all along. Problem is, there's no real way to tell.

Time to start looking hard for solutions on how to provide the FS2 game files so new players can also enjoy FS Open.
