It's a simulator test of the X-31 Omega's weapons systems.

Nice but... TBP Team allowed you to using their models?

Didn't ask TBP team, but IPA said he doesn't mind.

You may want to take a look at Omega from The Geometry of Shadows.
It's much better than TBP one.

Impossible for me to download. My ISP is horrible.

Oh, and meet the X-371 Tethis, the newest addition to the E.C. fleet:

Actually seeing as that seems to be using VLS it really is a Narayana.

What does the Tethis use in comparison?

Re: A celebration of FreeSpace

It had turreted launchers, and overall different turret counts. The differences are pretty minimal.

Also I think it was meant to be Tethys.

I say this not because I am a pedantic dick (though I am) but because Mr. Droid803 should soon be able to release a pack of Steve-O's original ships, which differ from their BP equivalents in some respects like turret count. It will then become important to know which is which!

**** no. The BP ones are in that respect identical to the originals save the ones that've been optimized.

Oh right, yes, turret differences.

I have the original Tethis/Tethys with the hangar bay doors and original turret layout, with the lack of smoothgroups addressed. I also gave it LODs. Just gotta pack it up and put it on FSMods (but the upload there is still rather finicky).

The Narayana (named Tethis v BP) and Torrent/Sanctus are already on there though.

The Torrent/Sanctus on FSMods has LODs (that is, if this memory of me chopping off bits isn't a delusion), albiet rather primitive. :)

From what I could gather the Torrent and Sanctus are identical model-wise.

I'll get to the Narayana...soon. (lolimlazy)

Re: A celebration of FreeSpace
RL and school mean that I don't really have the time to sit down and play Freespace solidly, and as a result, I haven't done so in months, I don't think.

Major factor is that due to the age of my computer, FS with all the bells and whistles isn't the most convenient thing to boot up and spend a great deal of time playing. And the fact my joystick has also aged a fair bit and needs replacing. I have my eyes on the X-52 Pro and some pedals.

Re: A celebration of FreeSpace
Play a mission or two every few months to keep in touch with your controls. It's not that hard. The hard part is keeping it to one or two missions every few months... :nervous:
