Got Mass Effect 2 from a mate of mine yesterday, I have a feeling I won't be sticking my head above the parapet very often for the next week.

Also, has anyone seen 'Fair Game'? Considering seeing it.

Turn the difficulty up, don't play Adept and if at all possible (like if it's on PC) get a save from ME1 to import. But if not, it's cool.

Yes. Finishing it on Insanity is the most fulfilling thing evar.

Vanguard is my favourite class, personally.

And you can import saves on 360 as well.

Yeah, cranked up teh_difficulty and playing soldier.

Guess it's consistent with my personality, at least. I didn't finish ME1 on bawks, so it seems I have to start from scratch.

Your post actually inspired me to go play some ME2 as well. The fun honestly never ends.

The Lair of the Shadow Broker DLC is amazing as well.

I found Soldier to be... well, a lot easier to play than the other classes. Never tried Sentinel, and Infiltrator was pretty fun. The novelty of Infiltrator wore off for me after a while though. Have you played as a Vanguard, Battuta? If so, what did you think? I found it insanely fun and surprisingly satisfying to play. Quite challenging at other times (eg platform battle on the Collector Cruiser), but still fun.

Pfft, throwing people around the room isn't my thing.

I'd much rather pick team mates who do cool stuff and take command. Although I'll playthrough on a different class once I'm done with this one. Although I'm not sure if that's really so reasonable, seeing as this thing is so bloody long, and Bearstrike may want this back so he can swap it with another mate for a game he can't be bothered to buy.

I've played eight hours and a bit at the moment. Found it just as interesting as ME1, although I still think the conversations as a whole feel a bit...awkward in some places, "oh hey, how are you? tell me about this bloke. oh, and let's talk about this completely unrelated to the conversation, yet story integral bloke." I guess it's a game and all, but eh.

Vanguard is definitely one of the hardest classes to play on Insanity, but I've seen a few players who can really pull it off.

Soldier is kind of boring because its main attack type is a simple DPS weapon and its class power is brokenly good. Adrenaline Rush makes most of the game pretty trivial.

I had a ton of fun with a Sentinel w/Assault Armor. The mix of biotic and tech powers, and the Kasumi DLC submachine gun that's about as good as an AR means you get the most fun parts of soldier and engineer plus a smattering of adept, and you don't have to spend a ton of time in cover because, hey, assault armor!

I actually haven't tried adrenaline deliberately, only used it once by accident. I should rectify this.

I did my Insanity playthrough as an Adept. Shockwave and Singularity are both pretty much useless. Actually, biotics in general got beaten with the nerfbat between 1 and 2...

I hope tey make it so if you don't have training with a certain weapon, you can get training (and way more often than the one BS part in ME2) or you can use them without training but with some type of penalty
