But no, I mean they want me to get a job, and they aren't letting me count my indie game dev stuff. And since I can't seem to find any good gamedev jobs, they want me to try non-gamedev programming jobs. And failing that, non-programming jobs. Dislike.

Crazy experiment with 360hz physics instead of 60hz... can't process fast enough to keep up with nearly as many objects, but maybe fixes my jitter issue? Idunno

 Woke up with a borked wrist this morning. Turning it for ANYTHING hurt like heck. Now it's just a mild pain unless I try something like turning a wash basin's faucet.

Aardwolf: I read recently that a good approach is to not update the game state extremely often- possibly around 30hz even if you're rendering at a better framerate- and when rendering, interpolate between game states. So if you're updating at 30hz and rendering at 60fps, you render two frames per update, but still see movement between them because they're interpolated between your most-recent game state and the previous one. (I've never implemented this but I suppose you could do this by having two stored game states and switching between them like buffers) (or three, I guess, since you're drawing from two of them and calculating a new one and can't really use the new one during rendering) (I don't really know what I'm talking about) (too many parentheses)

One of my best friends and his family (mum and siblings) got evicted today, with only a few days warning. I just spent the last two helping him pack.

Speaking of evictions, I just got rid of one of my tenants. Oh, wait...I think they would have to be human first to qualify as a tenant. More like a pig that walks upright. Ugh. I don't understand how anyone could live in such filth. And now I have to clean it up. Time to earn that motorcycle, I suppose.

Because it's what I want to do! It's fun and presumably could make me some money someday. Which I guess is necessary to not get kicked out of my parents' house. Dad seems more receptive than mom to $ solutions that don't involve me moving out of the house.
